So for our summer family vacation we wanted to take our girls to the beach…
We headed out to Galveston, and picked up Aunt Christina on the way!
I bought all the cousins matching pj’s… because it was just too cute.
When we got there, we were in heaven!
The girls loved playing in the water… it was so warm.
We set up camp, and we were sweating like crazy within minutes of walking outside. Humidity is a real thing people.
In the afternoon, we ate lunch poolside, and switched it up for a bit. The view was incredible, and the break from sand was nice!
.That night we enjoyed some amazing sea food with friends along Pleasure Pier.
The next morning, it was beach time again!
Strolling in the golf cart!
When we got to the beach it was around 10:30… This lady told us that a sand castle competition had started at 10, and we had 30 minutes left if we wanted to join in… Well, we couldn’t help ourselves.
We got busy building, but had very low hopes. We saw a guy with a trashcan and his was about 3 feet tall… so needless to say we were the underdogs.
For some odd reason they awarded US first place!! We couldn’t believe it, and we were a little embarrassed. I guess the lady said she liked that we all worked together.. Not sure if that was part of the judging, but we didn’t complain!
For our second afternoon, we went poolside again, but this time to a different pool.
Afton snuck a nap in alongside Taylor..
It was a beautiful day relaxing, chatting, swimming, and enjoying the sun.
The next day it was time to head out… we stopped for lunch and then we drove back home.
Only drawbacks were a sticky lock and someone stole an umbrella stroller… lame.
Family vacation in the books! Such a good time.
