Fall is fun…
There’s a different feel in the air…for Texas it either still feels like summer, or is randomly freezing.
This fall we decided to take a day trip to Sweet Berry Farm, and had a great time.
The girls requested face paint…and boy were they happy. They loved every minute of it and never wanted to wipe it off.
There was even a huge field of flowers where you could pick as many as you wanted! The girls loved it….and I did too… The perfectionist in me only wanted to pick the nice ones, but hey… gotta let the kids do their thing 😉
Michael and I had fun too. That’s the ultimate gold mine, where the kids can have fun and the parents can too.
Then it was time to get to work. Had to be packing boxes, organizing the garage and doing home owner stuff.
This made my endless vacuuming SO worth it.
Since Michael gave his two-weeks notice at his former job, he got to hang out with the family for a stay-cation of sorts.
And this munchkin just kept growing and smiling!
Michael was the fun dad and took the girls out to iHop. Don’t ask me about Carmen’s wanna-be-teenager pose.
He also found time to coach Carmen’s soccer team. That was a hoot…best coach out there, hands down
We watched General Conference as a family…
and Carmen had her first Primary Program!
Also as part of Michael’s break, our family from Arizona came in town. They have a “fall break” from school, so we crashed the party at Nana & Daddy Taylors!
Of course, we went to Chuck-E-Cheese… the kids loved it.
We found time to fish, and Slade managed to catch that cat fish he had wanted!
Ps—shameless plug to come visit us. This is literally 30 steps outside my door right now.
I found the best foot scraper tool ever…and got all my nasty dead skin off my heels. I know it’s gross, but it was a highlight.
Then, after all the fun….Michael was off to start his job.
For three weeks we planned fun activities and our goodbyes, and Michael popped back in on the weekends.
Last time at Sips n’ Sweets…
Last time with our sweet Librarian.
Fun with friends…
and goodbye playgroup in my honor!
and then HALLOWEEN! Our last hu-rah before the move!
Carmen’s new preschool teacher.
New t-shirts from Nana!
Unlimited date nights with free babysitting!
New hairdo success… (always scary about finding a new stylist)
Gorgeous trees everywhere!
Home sweet home! Welcome fall… out with the old, in with the new!
